This blog is written by a Ph.D. candidate in political science currently resident in Seattle.  He researches China and the former Soviet Union and spends way too much time engrossed in the histories of these countries; conservative/classical liberal economic thought; Catholic and Orthodox philosophy; and trying to figure out how you can actually reform an institution.  The content of this blog – politics, economics, art, architecture, and more or less whatever peaks his interest or pisses him off on any given day. The Perfect Servant spends most of his free time in his kayak, weight training at the Olympic Athletic Club, and expanding the list of countries he has visited beyond the 73 he has already spent time in.
